WPC-ETA

WPC (Wireless planning & Coordination) comes under Department of Telecommunication (DOT), responsible for Frequency Spectrum Management. WPC issued ETA License is applicable on wireless products and is required by Manufacturers/importers before selling wireless products in the Indian markets.
Why ETA is necessary- All WiFi & Bluetooth products must comply with the rules of Wireless Planning & Coordination to ensure frequency which is being used in product, meet human safety requirement and does not interfere with ranges allocated to different sectors and operational frequencies.

Procedure to obtain ETA License-

• Product needs to be tested according to RF (Radio Frequency) parameters for checking the operational frequency.
• An Online application is filed with Manufacturer documents.
• System generates an Application ID.
• After Verification and Scrutiny of the documents, ETA License is granted.
